Manila is experiencing the worst flooding in decades. While we here at Gentle Hands are safe, the same is not true of many of our staff members and those in the communities we work in. Many have lost everything and the current and impending need is great.
Gentle Hands run by Charity and Evan Graff, is a child and youth welfare agency meant to be on the front lines of rescue and rehabilitation of the medical, social and educational needs of at-risk children and youth, working towards improving human community life through the love of Jesus and family centered care.
At present we have 36 babies and children all in various stages of rehabilitation, legal paperwork, adoption, and reunification.
We are in the process of becoming accredited with Social Services and getting our license in order to become a Foster Care Placement center.
There are many ways you can be involved with Gentle Hands and make a difference in the life of children who have no where else to go.
Help us make a difference in the lives of the poor.
December is an exciting month as Christmas parties and preparations for Christmas take place.
We are blessed to have so many children that remind us of the excitement and anticipation of presents, giving, and celebration. The tree, the lights, the songs, all give their little hearts such joy!
This December is very special as we are looking forward to 3 of our precious ones to be picked up by their "forever families". What a wonderful Christmas present!
In January we are looking forward to construction starting on our expansion. We are thrilled to imagine the space and possibility for Jason's Home to grow!
